Compulsory vaccination: the bill takes shape
The purpose of this legislation is to protect health workers from contamination and thus protect vulnerable people.
On Tuesday August 3, the Government of the Principality tabled the bill relating to compulsory vaccination against Covid-19 for certain categories of people. This concerns workers or contributors (volunteers, pupils or students) of Monegasque health establishments. Currently, 66% of health facility staff have received a first dose of the vaccine.
This bill also provides for the compulsory vaccination of the staff of an establishment, a service or an organization whose mission is to welcome or accommodate vulnerable or fragile people (administrative staff, hoteliers, etc.) .
An initiative to follow in September
Prince Albert II has therefore decided to convene an extraordinary session in the week of September 13 to 17, 2021. The bill will be examined by the assembly on September 14.
