Prince of Qatar’s unique Bugatti Divo causes a stir in Monaco
A Qatari prince sent watchers and car enthusiasts into a frenzy after hitting the streets of Monte Carlo in the extraordinarily rare and expensive Bugatti Divo.
Bugatti only ever built 40 examples of the Divo, each starting at 5 million euros ($5.08 million), but with prices rising dramatically once customers started ticking a few option boxes and to make personalized requests. This particular Divo is quite the eye-catcher.
Most Prince’s Divos are painted matte white, but a host of light blue accents on the front splitter, side sills and parts of the rear fascia ensure it stands out even more. A number of parts are then finished in gloss carbon fibre, such as the side air intakes, parts of the front bumper, the large rear wing and the rear diffuser.

Interestingly, this isn’t the only Bugatti Divo owned by a Qatari royal. Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has his own Divo and was spotted driving it around the streets of London earlier this year. He shipped the hypercar to the UK alongside his Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 and Ferrari Monza SP2.
While the Divo’s body might make you think it’s a new hypercar built from the ground up by Bugatti, it’s actually based on the Chiron and uses the same 8-inch quad-turbo W16 engine. 0 liters developing 1,479 hp. Despite its similarities to the Chiron, all 40 units were sold to customers even before the car was presented to the public.
