Grace Kelly was revered for her beauty and poise, and is fondly remembered as a Hollywood icon. Surprisingly, she only worked as an actress for about six years before leaving the film industry in 1956 to get married. Rainier III, the Prince of Monaco, who made Kelly the Princess of Monaco. Ultimately, the iconic movie star passed on her distinctive glamor to her 23-year-old granddaughter, Camille Rose Gottlieb, whose blonde highlights and blue eyes are surprisingly similar to Kelly’s. Camille is the daughter of Stephanie Marie Elisabeth Grimaldi, Princess of Monaco and Kelly’s youngest child with Rainer III. Kelly had two more children before Princess Stephanie, Princess Caroline and Prince Albert.
Princess Stéphanie gave birth to Camille with the former palace bodyguard Jean-Raymond Gottlieb, whom she did not marry and left Camille’s birth certificate. Camille is Stéphanie’s third child, but her two other children share the same father, Daniel Ducret, whom she married in 1995 and divorced the following year.
Although she is a child of the royal family of Monaco, Camille herself is not actually a royal. As her parents never married, she is not in the running for the throne. According to the Daily Express, Stephanie is fourteenth in line for the throne, and her two other children are fifteenth and sixteenth in line. Royal or not, Camille seems to have a positive relationship with both of her parents.

Camille was born 16 years after Kelly’s tragic death after a car crash in 1982, so the two have never met. However, Kelly’s granddaughter is often seen as the spitting image of the old Hollywood icon. In 2017, Camille shared an Instagram photo wearing a red lip and a burgundy jacket, which caused fans and headlines to compare Camille to her grandmother.
“I was particularly honored to learn of this resemblance to my grandmother, Princess Grace,” said Camille Point of view, addressing the Instagram photo. “Every time my mother talks to me about her, it’s to say what an amazing woman and what an exemplary mother she was.”
Kelly’s appearance was all Camille inherited. The actor-turned-princess has often been praised for his charitable nature, and it seems Camille got that too. In 2017, she founded Be Safe Monaco, an organization that raises awareness of the dangers of impaired driving and provides resources to combat it.
“I don’t drink,” Camille told French media in 2018, adding that she had tasted alcohol before. “It’s not for me, I don’t like it. I hate the idea of losing control.”
